CITP State Society Outreach - 2009

CITP State Outreach Objective:

To expand a communication pathway between the AICPA’s IT Community and the CPA State Society, inform the professional community about the vital role of IT in the financial management process, and the need to recognize CPAs who possess unique IT expertise and experience.  The CITP State Outreach will give state societies the structure to work together to inform the profession of these objectives through this information sharing program.

Participating in the Outreach:

Each state society representative is to notify the AICPA CITP State Outreach representative, Janis Wong, if they will participate in the Outreach Program.  Notifying us of your involvement is the only requirement for participation.

2.      CITP Volunteer – Highest number of speaking opportunities/ contribution, articles written, potential contacts interested in the CITP Credential, or other communications generated (to provide technical expertise to the local community & promote the CITP credential).

3.      New CITP member – Selection is based on the state society nomination.

All recognition will be announced at the AICPA’s 2009 TECH+ Conference in Las Vegas, NV, within the State Society Communicator, and possibly as a press release.

Reporting:

The AICPA Project Manager will initially hold a conference call to explain the resources available to state societies.  This will be the starting point for the roll out, and the Project Manager may schedule individual meetings with the state participants.  Each month, the AICPA will provide a progress status to the State Outreach program.
