Chris Fraser, CPA, CITP, CISA is a Senior Manager at Sunera LLC with over 14 years of business technology and IT risk management consulting experience. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he also holds the AICPA Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) specializing in Small Business Server. Furthermore, he is the first Microsoft Small Business Specialist in Tampa, Florida. Chris’s practice focuses on business technology, IT assurance, risk management, business technology review, IT assurance services, and design, implementation, integration and support of IT systems. 

Chris’ education has provided the foundation for his meteoric rise. He earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting and an MBA at the University of Florida.  His love of computers and business contributed to his decision to begin his career with the Arthur Andersen Atlanta office as a Business Technology Consultant. Following Andersen, he took on the role of Director of Consulting Services with Fraser, Culbreth and Company, CPAs, and Cherry Bekaert and Holland where he offered his services as an independent IT Consultant.  His latest endeavor with Sunera LLC has provided an optimal environment for Chris to utilize his extensive IT and business consulting experience. 

Chris was recently featured in The CPA Technology Advisor as a 40 under 40 designee for his achievements in the accounting and technology community, where he continues to make valuable contributions through his active involvement. Chris has been a featured speaker for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, chair of the FICPA Business Technology Section, and is presently a member of the Board of Governors of the Florida Institute of CPAs.  He is also a past member of the AICPA’s CITP Credential Committee where his contributions have promoted the CITP credential and further developed the standing of CITP credential holders in the marketplace and their reputation for duty, commitment, intellectual acuity and excellence in the service for their clients and organizations.

Chris notes that the most valuable benefit he realizes from being a CITP is the recognition he receives for his functional utilization of his combined expertise in business and technology.  He believes that the CITP credential provides assurance to his clients when proposing solutions for them.
