Top 10 Technologies Archive
Conducted since 1990 by the Top Technology Initiatives Task Force, a group of technologically astute members of the CPA profession and other technology professionals, AICPA's Top Technology Initiatives seeks to identify the 10 most important technology initiatives for the coming year. The list is a result of an annual surveying of thousands of members consisting of AICPA CITP Credential holders and Information Technology Section members; and in prior years, members of ISACA, the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Technology Alliance, working in industry, public accounting, academia, government, and other sectors.
In prior years, in addition to identifying current technologies, the Task Force also prepared a "watch list" of five emerging technologies that promise to impact businesses and individuals within 12-18 months.
